Impressive! Two weeks? Well the devotion certainly shows. You look closely enough the Badger sticks out-and the size comparison is like a grizzly bear taking on midgets. Surprisingly bloody and epic for a redwall drawing, since fanwork is usually g-rated and just looks at one or two characters at a time. The one in the center with a sheild and head band looks like Rambo. You kind of drove my theory home that Redwall would be more like Braveheart than something like Lord of Rings, and that's what's expressed here. Braveheart: 60% Rango: 15% Kung Fu Panda: 10% Disney's Robin Hood: 15%
I'll be honest, I thinking of my own bloody-gory Redwall fight with my RTN Commandos. I'll show that the RTN military is here to help the innocents and show that guys with guns can be good (by blowing terrorists'* brains and guts out).
Danbuster: Whoa! Looks to me like the woodlanders are losing at the moment! Damn! *the tall crazy hare glances in a Latin phrasebook and yells offscreen* Accerso solamen! (Call for relief!) Marquila: Solamen adventum! Aquila Dominatus!! (Relief arriving! The eagle rules!!) *the great golden eagle swoops from the skies, bring with him the full fighting force of his brother's tribe from Hawkcrag!*
(This is how Danbuster would have intervened in the battle from "Long Patrol", if he had been able!) BTW, this artwork is impressive and you clearly spent a good deal of time and effort on it. Good job!
Heh, yeah... well, Danbuster himself would have been taking part - his sabre flickering about like an electric fanblade! Just, like me, he doesn't like to see a lot of death in battle. When I play Age of Empires II, I always field a large army and attack in numbers, to make sure the enemy is beaten easily - and I hate to lose soldiers in battle.
